ICRC Elevator Modernization Project
In August 2022, we initiated an elevator modernization project to improve the reliability, function, and appearance of the elevators located in the Irving Cancer Research Center. Once this multi-year, multi-phase project is complete, occupants and visitors will see major upgrades to the building’s elevator infrastructure and new interior cab designs.

Project Location: Irving Cancer Research Center
Project Scope: Six elevators that service the building—including four passenger cars and two freight cars—will be renovated to improve the reliability and functionality of the elevators.

Project Updates
Phase 1: Car #3 (In Progress)
Beginning on Monday, August 29, 2022, passenger elevator car #3 will be temporarily unavailable and will remain out of service through approximately late February 2023.
- During this time, please use the adjacent passenger cars #1 and #2 for regular passenger service.
- While we conduct elevator upgrades, please expect longer than usual delays for regular passenger service.
