Most memorable moment?

The day I got promoted was memorable. Back in 1997, I got promoted to head of maintenance. Before that, I was just a regular maintenance guy.

Who has made the biggest impression on you during your time here?

A director named Bash Barvis. I worked for him for a long time. He sent me to school and I learned how to be a team leader and how about customer service and how to knock people’s socks off. Most of the people here have been trained by me. I talk to the clients to schedule work, and I check that the work is well done.

Hidden talents?

I am a good soccer player and I speak 5 languages: French, English, Spanish, Arabic, Swahili, Wolof.

Who has served as a role model to you?

My mother, my father. Whenever I am in a situation, I always think.. what would my mother do? She taught me to be a leader and do my best in any role. My father is my mentor and my idol. When I was younger, I thought I would end up becoming a businessman like him.

Advice that you’d give to your younger self?

Believe in yourself, be focused, know what you want, and work hard for it. If you fall, just keep going.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

How to turn a bad employee into a good one. Most of the time, I’m able to turn them around with proper advice.
