Faces of Facilities

Meet the people who make Facilities what it is.

Managing Columbia University Irving Medical Center's day-to-day operations takes tremendous effort. From custodial and maintenance staff to security personnel to seasoned professionals and administrators, members of Facilities Management work passionately to keep our campus safe, provide essential services, and build and maintain the spaces that allow our students, faculty, and researchers to do their best work.

No one would argue that Facilities Management is made up of so many amazing people. People with diverse backgrounds, remarkable talents, untold achievements, and unique perspectives. Even if you know the names of those you see daily, there are hundreds more in other buildings, on other shifts, and in other departments who make Facilities Management what it is. This section is dedicated to telling our stories.

Each month, we will be introducing different members of our team. We hope you will take a few moments to get to know us a bit better!

May 2024

May is National Pet Month and it turns out that quite a few of us in Facilities have furry friends. This month, we're highlighting some of our best friends, our rescues (or the ones that rescued us), and those who make everything better.

We will bring you one Furry Face of Facilities every weekday in May and each Friday, we will post a survey where you can try to guess the various pet owners. Keep checking back to meet all of our furry friends!
