CUIMC Parking

Columbia University Irving Medical Center has very limited on-campus parking, which is prioritized for eligible employees. Before choosing to commute by car, we encourage everyone to explore sustainable travel options such as public transit, biking, and carpooling.
Columbia supports sustainable travel with a range of services, including free intercampus shuttles, carpool matching, and secure bicycle amenities. Visit the Columbia Transportation website to learn more.

CUIMC is expanding EV support in line with Columbia’s sustainability goals. Charging stations are available in all CUIMC garages.
EV Charging Policy:
- Electric vehicle (EV) charging outlets are available free of charge to individuals with active parking privileges in CUIMC garages.
- Charging is managed by valet staff and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
- To use a charger, please sign up upon arrival in the morning.
- Vehicles must be removed from the charger after four hours or once fully charged to ensure availability for other users.
- Important: Columbia’s EV charging stations are intended for occasional, supplemental charging and should not be used as a primary charging source.
