Designing a Sustainable Future

Laboratory buildings account for over 50% of fossil fuel use on campus. The new research building will be a model for transitioning to a fully decarbonized built environment in New York City.

Diverse sustainable design strategies are embedded into the new research building’s design through a series of mechanical, architectural, and operational measures. Together, these work to ensure the energy-efficient, fully electric performance of the building.
