VP&S and William Black Building Advisory: Upcoming Facilities-Related Work, March 10-20
Below is information about upcoming Facilities-related work in and around the William Black and Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons buildings that will take place over the coming weeks.
Black Building Stone Signage Replacement, Mar. 10
On Wednesday, March 10, from 9 a.m. until approximately 6 p.m., contractors will replace the stone sign at the entrance of the Black Building. While this work will not impact access to the Black Building, there may be periods of increased noise.
Black Building Scaffolding Removal, Mar. 12-13
Beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 12, we will be dismantling and removing the sidewalk bridge (scaffold) located at the Black Building street level along Fort Washington Avenue. We currently anticipate the sidewalk bridge removal to be completed by Saturday, March 13.
While the sidewalk bridge is being removed, the entrance to the Black Building/VP&S loading dock will remain accessible; however, there will be short periods in which the loading dock will be blocked. Representatives onsite will coordinate with delivery drivers to minimize any impact.
