Hammer Bldg.: Knowledge Center Core Drilling, Oct. 10-21

As part of our efforts to renovate the second floor of Hammer Health Sciences Center, we will be conducting core drilling in the Knowledge Center.

Highlights of What to Expect:

• Core drilling will occur above the Knowledge Center ceiling from 6 a.m. to approximately 8 a.m., Mondays through Fridays, from Monday, October 10 through Friday, October 21. During this time, there will be intermittent periods of increased noise, vibration, and dust.
• Before the core drilling commences, we will install temporary plastic tents to protect any affected areas within the Knowledge Center.
• Once the work is completed, all affected areas will be wiped down and the carpet will be vacuumed.
• Only a portion of the knowledge Center will be impacted by the core drilling; the Knowledge Center will remain open and operational while the core drilling is being performed. Individuals, however, should consider using other study locations within Hammer Health Sciences Center while the drilling is being performed.
