Meet Nathalie Padilla

Nathalie Padilla, manager of Finance & Information Systems, has been at CUIMC since 2020. Her favorite things about being in this role are that she gets to work with so many amazing people and has the ability to interact with them day in and day out. She says, "There is never a dull moment at CUIMC!" Her superpower is being a mom and she is a GREAT cook.

What is your most memorable CUIMC moment?

Starting at Columbia during the midst of the COVID-19 global pandemic and seeing how we kept the engine running was pretty impressive.

Who has made the biggest impression on you during your time here?

My manager Michael Choolfaian (assistant vice president of Finance & Administration). He knows our department inside and out, and his ability to remember so many details is astonishing.

Who are your role models?

I am my daughter's role model (or at least she tells me I am all the time, lol). My parents are my role models; they are the definition of hard work, perseverance, and dedication.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a banker on Wall Street.

What is something that makes you smile?

Seeing my daughter grow up to be an independent young lady and her ability to never give up.

Advice to your younger self?

Don't give up, you will be great one day!

What’s something that people would be surprised to learn about you?

I am nearly blind and I have worn glasses since I was 6 years old.
