VP&S Building Scaffolding Installation and Roof Replacement Begins Feb. 2

As part of efforts to replace the roof at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons Building, a sidewalk bridge and scaffolding will be installed along 168th Street in front of the building beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday, February 2.

Sidewalk Bridge and Scaffolding Installation

• Sidewalk bridge installation will occur after hours, from 6 p.m. to approximately 5 a.m.
• Once installed, the sidewalk bridge and scaffolding are expected to remain in place until late April 2026.
• The main entrance to the VP&S Building will remain accessible during its normal hours throughout the duration of the roof replacement work.

VP&S Building Roof Replacement

• Demolition-related activities will take place after hours from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weeknights.
• New roof installation will occur from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays.
• During this time, we anticipate minimal impacts to building operations.

All activities are subject to change based on permitting approvals, University events, operational requirements, and unforeseen circumstances, including weather-related delays.
