Black Building Steam Disruption, October 2

Due to urgent repairs, steam systems are temporarily unavailable throughout the William Black Building on Thursday, October 2. 

• While we conduct the repairs, there will be no hot water, heating, sterilization, autoclaves, steam tables, or dishwashers available throughout the building.
• During this time, occupants may notice cooler than usual temperatures.
• Eyewash devices and overhead emergency shower units will be functional but will be supplied with cold water only. Accordingly, please consider limiting research operations that have significant potential for splash or face and bodily exposure during the shutdown.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. We will provide additional information, including the estimated completion time for the repairs, once that information becomes available.
