Upcoming Russ Berrie Construction Activity, August 26-September 1

As part of the ongoing construction of the new Vagelos Innovation Laboratories, several activities will occur in and around the Russ Berrie Medical Science Pavilion's main lobby and stairwell B over the coming weeks. Please review the schedule and the impacts listed below.

After-Hours Lobby Work, August 26-29

• Starting Tuesday, August 26, and continuing through Friday, August 29, work will begin at 6 p.m. each night in the Russ Berrie lobby.
• We’ll be working on the terrazzo flooring, constructing a small vestibule in front of the cGMP facility, and removing a section of the ceiling for above-ceiling work.

Lobby Closure, August 30–September 1

• From 6 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, through 6 a.m. on Monday, September 1, Russ Berrie’s main lobby will be closed for floor coating and curing.
• Elevator service will not stop on the first floor while the lobby is closed.
• During this period, please use the School of Nursing Building’s main entrance located on 168th Street and cross over via the second-floor connector for access to Russ Berrie.

While construction activity takes place, there will be intermittent periods of increased noise, vibration, and dust. Scheduled work may change due to unexpected issues.
