VP&S/Black Bldgs. Upcoming Steam Disruptions, Apr. 24-25 

Please be advised of the following steam-related service disruptions scheduled to occur in the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and William Black Buildings due to urgent repairs:

• VP&S Building: Friday, April 24, 5 p.m. to approximately 11:50 p.m.
• Black Building: Saturday, April 25, 7 a.m. to approximately 2 p.m.

Highlights of What to Expect:

• While we conduct the repairs, there will be no hot water, heating, sterilization, autoclaves, steam tables, or dishwashers available throughout the building.
• During this time, occupants may also notice temperature fluctuations.
• Eyewash devices and overhead emergency shower units will be functional but will be supplied with cold water only. Accordingly, please consider limiting research operations with significant potential for splash or face-and-body exposure during the shutdown.
