Vanderbilt Clinic Fire Alarm Inspection, September 26

We will be conducting a fire alarm inspection in the locker room located on LL1 of the Vanderbilt Clinic from 6 p.m. until approximately 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26.

During the inspection, the following measures will be implemented throughout the building:

  • Magnetic door holders will be activated, resulting in the closure of fire doors for the duration of the inspection.
  • Fire alarm notification devices will be activated, causing strobe lights to be triggered to indicate the alarm status.
  • The HVAC fan will be temporarily shut down to facilitate the inspection process.
  • As an additional safety precaution, the east loop elevators will be recalled back to the main floor during the inspection.

Occupants of the Vanderbilt Clinic may notice short, intermittent horns, and/or strobes activated intentionally; please disregard these. Inspectors may request access to any space.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation as we work to improve our facilities. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Neville Shek, F.A.C.E. project manager, at nes9035@nyp.org.
