A new resource for new mothers opens in Tower 1

Mamava lactation pod in Tower 1 is ADA accessible

The Office of Work/Life has opened a Mamava Lactation Pod on the first floor of Tower 1, a project overseen by Darby Kline, project manager for Capital Project Management. The pod is ADA accessible and is equipped with electrical outlets for personal breast pump use.

The new lactation pod joins a growing collection of spaces dedicated to meeting the needs of mothers who need to express milk while at work or school. You can view a map of existing lactation rooms managed by the Office of Work/Life.

Access to the pod is provided via keypad code; access to the other CUMC lactation rooms is by card swipe. To request access, or for more information on the Office of Work/Life’s Breastfeeding Support Program, please contact the Office of Work/Life at worklife@columbia.edu.

You can also see more projects from Capital Project Management and request a capital project.
