Hammer Bldg. Vacuum System Temporarily Unavailable, Dec. 1, 12-1 p.m.

The vacuum system throughout Hammer Health Sciences Center will be temporarily unavailable from noon to approximately 1 p.m. on Monday, December 1,  due to emergency repairs. During this time, vacuum systems used to aspirate cell culture media in biosafety cabinets will also be unavailable.

Per Environmental Health and Safety, investigators who need to withdraw media can use an alternate manual approach with a mechanical pipetting device in the biosafety cabinet. Biosafety officers can be reached by email for consults at biosafety@columbia.edu.
