Campus-wide Steam Shutdown, April 21 - 22

Due to emergency work being performed by NewYork-Presbyterian, steam systems will be temporarily unavailable from 8 p.m. on Friday, April 21, until approximately 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, in the following buildings:

• Allan Rosenfield Building

• Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute and Research Annex

• Hammer Health Sciences Center

• Harkness Pavilion

• Herbert Irving Pavilion

• Milstein Hospital

• Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital (CHONY)

• Neurological Institute

• Presbyterian Building

• Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons Building

• Vanderbilt Clinic

• Vivian and Seymour Milstein Family Heart Center

• William Black Building

While NYP completes its repairs, there will be no hot water, sterilization, autoclaves, steam tables, or dishwashers available throughout the buildings. Eyewash devices and overhead emergency shower units will be functional, but will be supplied with cold water only. Accordingly, please consider limiting research operations that have significant potential for splash or face and bodily exposure during the shutdown.
