A collage of four building exteriors

Campus-wide research renovation initiative

With the opening of the Manhattanville campus and the relocation of various faculty members and researchers, we are embarking upon a series of interrelated renovation projects in an effort to support the medical center’s strategic research priorities.

Highlights of what to expect in the coming months:

  • Hammer Health Sciences Center
Renovation-related construction activity will take place on lower level 2, in what previously served as the book and journal stacks room, as well as on the 4th, 5th, 6th, 10th, and 11th floors.
Construction on LL2 and the 4th floor will continue through the end of the year. As there will be periods of increased noise after hours in the lower levels of the building, we are arranging alternative spaces for quiet study.
  • William Black Building
Renovation-related construction activity will take place on the 9th, 11th, and 17th floors. From Monday, April 30, through September 2018, the pedestrian bridge that connects Milstein Hospital and Black Building on the 11th floor will also be unavailable for use.
  • College of Physicians and Surgeons Building
Renovation-related construction activity will take place on the 11th, 16th, and 17th floors.

While the renovations are being completed, there will be intermittent periods of increased noise and dust. Other minor projects may also take place during this time.

To ensure affected occupants are aware of all ongoing activities, we will provide biweekly progress updates. To receive project updates, sign up for building alerts.
