Black Bldg.: Fume Hood Disruption on Floors 15-17, Aug 11-13

Fume hood exhaust fans will be temporarily unavailable on floors 15, 16, and 17 of the William Black Building from 5 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023, until approximately 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, due to necessary repairs.

• During this time, laboratory users on floors 15, 16, and 17 are instructed to avoid using fume hoods and tightly seal all containers within the fume hood or remove and safely store containers elsewhere in the lab.
• Once service has been restored, we will coordinate with Environmental Health and Safety to spot check fume hood exhaust flow and recertify the hoods, beginning on Monday, August 14.
