Black Bldg. Floors 1-2 Condenser Water Shutdown, Jan. 10

The condenser water system serving the 1st and 2nd floors of the William Black Building will be temporarily unavailable from 6 a.m. until approximately 9 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, for repairs. During the shutdown, environmental boxes, supplemental air conditioning equipment, and freezer farm air conditioning will be temporarily unavailable on the 1st and 2nd floors. 

We highly recommend that all cold room doors be kept closed and access prohibited during this shutdown period.

• Typically, this equipment will maintain temperature as long as the doors are kept closed. Please note that placing dry ice or cryogenic materials in cold rooms can create a hazardous, oxygen-deficient atmosphere and must be avoided.
• If necessary, please relocate critical materials to unaffected freezers for the duration of the shutdown.
