Air Quality Alert for NYC Region, June 28

As you may know, the Canadian wildfires are again impacting the air quality in our region. Members of the CUIMC community are encouraged to limit their strenuous outdoor activities today.

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for New York City on 6/28. Active children and adults, and people with respiratory problems, such as asthma, should reduce prolonged or heavy exertion outdoors.

For more information, visit the National Weather Service, the Department of Environmental Conservation, or AirNow.

Help us protect our campus by closing and locking all windows, blinds, and doors each day, especially in spaces that are not normally occupied.

Additionally, please call 911 immediately and then Public Safety at 212-305-7979 if you have an on-campus fire emergency.
